2013 Green Bay Packers Off season

The Green Packers had some holes to fill in the off-season and they hit a home run. The Packers let veteran wide out Greg Jennings head to Minnesota because there is a youth movement on offense. The Packers improved their running back spot with the additions of Eddie Lacy from Alabama and Jonathan Franklin from UCLA. This two-headed monster will lead the Packers backfield for years to come.

However, if the Packers had a weakness a year ago it was on defense.

The Packers addressed this issue by drafting Datone Jones first overall and parting with aging veterans like Charles Woodson. Jones is a perfect fit for this scheme and his interior pass rush might be exactly what this team needs to pair with the outside presence of Matthews and last year’s first-round pick, Nick Perry, who could have a breakout season. The Packers excellent off-season will lead to immediate improvements on the field this year.

2013 Green Bay Packers Predictions

The Green Bay Packers start the season off with a big revenge game against the 49ers. If they are able to pull out that victory (and even if they don’t) the Packers will go on a run that will end in a very big season. Rodgers is worth a wager as Most Valuable Player (Odds to win MVP: 8-to-1) as he will have a monster season and lead the Packers to a stellar season and a shot at another Super Bowl championship for the great people of Green Bay.
