Atlanta Falcons vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles opened up as (-3.5) favorites and it currently sits at (-3) at most major sportsbooks. The questions at starting quarterback have pushed the public to fade the champs as over 70% of the betting action is on the Falcons in the opener. The Falcons are the most popular bet by the public in week one. Not much as changed since Nick Foles was named the starter according to these odds.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns

The Browns appeared on HBO Hard Knocks and that will always alter the betting angle, but they are still the Browns. Although they are improved and have high hopes they are still a (-5.5) home underdog. Shop around as this number can also be found at (-5) at some respectable shops.

San Francisco 49ers vs Minnesota Vikings

Defense wins ball games and that could be why the Vikings are attracting 58% of the wagers on this game. That may have pushed this line which now at (-6) after settling at (-5.5) for a few weeks.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck is back for the Colts, but that is not causing NFL bettors to jump on the bandwagon. 57% of the bets are on the Bengals. This line is still at Colts (-3) which is a usual point spread for a home team in what is expected to be a close game.

2018 NFL Week 1 Betting Lines and Odds

Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens

The Bills have had some injuries already but head to the season with Nathan Peterman as the week one starter. That and the fact that many believe this will be a tough season for Buffalo makes the Bills a touchdown underdog in week one. Joe Flacco is supposedly going to open the offense up this season and nearly 70% of the bets are believing in the Ravens in week one.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Giants

The Giants are getting a lot of preseason love after they drafted Barkley to bolster the running game. 61% of the football bettors are on Big Blue. The Giants are three point pups with the number sticking around at 3 for quite some time.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a journeyman in the league and he gets the start for the Bucs against the Saints. This line has jumped since opening and can be found anywhere from Saints (-9.5) to (-10.5) so check out all of the sportsbooks before making a bet. With all of the preseason Super Bowl hype and with Winston out of the lineup, the Saints are getting nearly 70 percent of the betting action.

Houston Texans vs New England Patriots

This could be the best game of the week and the betting action is split 50/50. The Patriots are (-6.5) almost everywhere with the exception of 5Dimes, a very good sportsbook that has Patriots (-7).

Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are a team that no one outside of the Sunshine state believes in. They are small home dogs (+1) against the Titans 63% of the bets are betting against the Fins in the opener.

Kansas City Chiefs vs LA Chargers

In an AFC West showdown, the Chargers are (-3) point home favorites against the Chiefs. Sportsbooks are increasing the juice (-3 -125) to avoid coming off this key number of 3. The Chargers are getting slightly (54%) more love from the betting public.

Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos

The Broncos got a QB and have a great defense and it seems like Seattle is falling apart. Because of this perception the Broncos are getting 65% of the bets and the line went from Broncos (-2.5) to (-3).

Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers

Many believe the Cowboys won’t make the playoffs but this game will be a big test. Only 38% are backing the boys as the Panthers are (-3) point home favorites. A few (-2.5) are beginning to show up so if you like the Panthers make sure that you get the best number.

Washington Redskins vs Arizona Cardinals

Alex Smith and Sam Bradford may not be a marquee matchup, but that is what we get in this game. This line is a Pk ‘em as bettors are trying to figure out these two teams. The Cardinals are getting slightly more betting action (57%) due to a dominant home field advantage.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers

The Packers are getting just 56% of the wagers, but that could change since the Bears just traded for Kahlil Mack. The Packers were as high as (-9) point favorites and that number now can be found as low as (-7.5). This could be the start of a bad year for the Packers.

New York Jets vs Detroit Lions

Why do people hate the Lions? They are at home in the season opener on Monday night football and 54% of the bets are on the Jets and a rookie QB. The Lions are (-6.5) point favorites in the early MNF kickoff.
