In Week 15 the Sunday Night Football game could possibly be the best game of the week as the 49ers vs Patriots matchups is must see TV.
The New England Patriots are fresh off a prime-time affair against the Houston Texans. Many experts thought it would be a very competitive game, but the Patriots quickly extinguished the Texans in blowout fashion, alerting the NFL world that this team is worthy of Super Bowl consideration. That impressive win set off an overreaction by the public.
49ers vs Patriots Odds: The NFL Odds on this game opened up with the Patriots as (-3) point favorites. The number was quickly hammered by the public and that number quickly ballooned to (-5.5) in several offshore sportsbooks.
This overreaction is a windfall to 49er supporters. The Patriots beat the Texans by forcing the offense in 3rd and longs and sending multiple blitzes to beat up on quarterback Matt Scahub. The Patriots are 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game and will be hard pressed to duplicate that output on defense.
First the 49ers have a mobile quarterback in Colin Kaepernick who will be able to make more time in the pocket and force the Patriots secondary to cover multiple targets. The Patriots linebackers will have to play tight to stop the running of Frank Gore which will allow for less double teams.
This will allow for single coverage of tight end Vernon Davis and ex-Patriot Randy Moss. Moss would love nothing more than to catch a deep pass against his former club. If the Patriots have vulnerability in it’s a suspect pass secondary that can be beat.
On defense the 49ers will have their hands full with quarterback Tom Brady, but this defense is much better than a Texans injury plagued unit that was exploited on Monday Night Football. They are a very confident bunch that are sure they can get the job done.

The 49ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning home record and 22-9-1 ATS in their last 32 games overall.
Jim Harbaugh knows how to get his team ready for an East Coast trip and they will be ready for business and will win outright ending the Patriots December dominance.
49ers vs Patriots Predictions: 49ers +5.5

I’m going with the ‘Pats’
I’m Minnesotan, so don’t think im from New England.
I just think that as good as their (49ers) Defense is,
Based off what the Patriots have done in the last couple games- They will have their hands full all game and will at one point break. Brady is the best QB of the league right now and up there in best QB’s ever, who knows- Maybe he could be #1 by the time he retires, All i gotta say is Brady is the best combined with great weapons aka great receivers, it’s a seemingly un-stoppable offence. I’m sorry, if they can take apart the Texans like that they sure as hell can do the same to the 49ers.
Conrad, awesome comment and great feedback! Thanks for stopping by!
I agree 100% Conrad.
Although Ray Matthew is a pretty consistent capper and his picks are often right on I have to disagree with him here on this one.
Cheers
