The first BCS ratings were released yesterday and the undefeated Wildcats are fourth, behind Alabama, Florida and Oregon, and ahead of Notre Dame. K-State also has the best chance of running the table and it all starts with West Virginia.
This will be the biggest test of the season for the Wildcats since the big win against Oklahoma. Quarterback Collin Klein is on a Heisman campaign type of year and he has all of the weapons that every team wants in a field general. He is a dual threat as an accurate passer and rushing for 510 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Mountaineers have a pretty impressive quarterback as well as Geno Smith is at the helm. Smith is also a double threat and after big games against Baylor and Texas, he has jumped onto the national scene. The biggest problem for this team is the defense.
West Virginia’s poor defense was exposed in the game against Texas Tech and it now will allow the Wildcats to take advantage of this weakness. The Mountaineers are 2-11 ATS in their last 13 home games when playing a team with a winning road record, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, and 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall.
The Wildcats are on an incredible run. The Wildcats are 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 road games against a team with a winning home record, 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 conference games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
The Wildcats continue their impressive winning ways and beat the Mountaineers to take another step on their national championship journey.
