NBA Pick Against the Spread (January 18, 2013)
The Chicago Bulls head into the game against the Boston Celtics with swagger and confidence. This will be the marquee game of the night in the NBA and will be televised on ESPN.
The Bulls have won three of four games to include an overtime win against the Toronto Raptors in the last outing. The Bulls have now won 9 of the last 11 road games and will look to continue that success against the Boston Celtics.
The NBA Odds for the game between the Chicago Bulls vs. Boston Celtics opened with the Celtics as (-3.5) favorites, which is no surprise considering they have home court for this potential Eastern Conference championship preview. Wanna Bet On NBA? Click here for a $50 – $1000 free play
The Celtics were playing their best basketball of the season before losing to the lowly New Orleans Hornets. That home loss snapped a six game winning streak and is a sure sign that the Celtics looked past the Hornets for the game against the Bulls.
If the Celtics want to beat the Bulls they need to slow down Joakim Noah who posted his second career triple-double in the last meeting. The Celtics will provide a big presence down low in this game after getting criticized by Doc Rivers in the game against the Hornets.
“We refused to go in the paint,” coach Doc Rivers said. “We had an electric fence around the paint. We settled for jump shots.”
That will light a fire in this Celtics squad and they will dominate in the paint against the Bulls who are in a tough spot for this prime time affair. The Bulls are 5-15 against the spread (ATS) in their last 20 games following a win and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Celtics are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 against the Eastern Conference and the home team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. The Celtics get physical in the paint and beat the Bulls.
