Here is a list of the top ten NFL Betting trends for Week 6 that point out angles that can be useful in selecting winners.

Often the simplest of NFL trends can speak volumes and show just how hot or cold a team is against the spread (ATS)

NFL Trends: Dolphins On a Hot Streak

NFL Trends: Dolphins On a Hot Streak

The Dolphins look like they are on the upswing after a good draft, but they have been a bad team for the last few years. However when it comes to betting the Dolphins has been a serious best bet.

Dolphins are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games overall

The Bengals also have a telling NFL trend that shows how they have played of late, but unlike the Dolphins it’s negative. The Bengals are 3-8-3 ATS in their last 14 games overall and there is a series trend against Cleveland that goes against Cincinnati since the underdog is 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 meetings.

NFL trends will often reveal how teams play on the road or at home.

For example, home teams often have the edge but the Baltimore Ravens struggle at home and have failed to cover the last four out of five games on their home turf. They are not alone as the Buccaneers are 7-22 ATS in their last 29 home games. Other teams are road warriors and look forward to hitting the NFL highway like the Giants who are 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 road games.

Trends are useful in finding out how teams fare against teams with a winning or losing record.  The Falcons dominate weaker competition and are 33-16-2 ATS when playing a team with a losing record, but the Lions struggle against winning teams with a 0-8-1 ATS mark against a team with a winning record.

Then there are NFL trends that get more specific and reveal angles that the handicapper may have not considered. For example the Jets are coming off a Monday night game and that usually spells disaster for NFL teams, but not the Jets. The Jets are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games when playing on Sunday following a Monday night game. This trends works well with a trend against the Colts who are just 2-5 ATS in the last 7 games on the road.

The final NFL trend is also telling as the Vikings are 9-19-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a win of more than 14 points. This indicates the Vikings struggle to get focused after executing flawlessly in a blowout.
