The odds for the big game opened up with the 49ers listed as (-5) favorites. That number has already been bet down to (-4) in several sports books as the Ravens are attracting public betting to the tune of 66 percent according to the sports consensus. Super Bowl XLVII Predictions: Ravens vs 49ers
The Wynn was the first in Vegas to post a line, San Francisco minus-5. Minutes later, the Las Vegas Hotel posted San Fran minus-4.5. In fact the early drop could also be attributed to the sharp bettors taking the Ravens plus the points while it still holds value. Both teams have had fantastic journeys littered with great storylines as they head into the Super Bowl.
The Ravens limped out of the regular season and were a longshot to get to the big game. Inspired by the retirement of linebacker Ray Lewis, the Ravens demolished the opposition to include knocking out AFC favorites Broncos and Patriots. Quarterback Joe Flacco has emerged as a (dare we say) elite quarterback in the NFL with a deadly deep ball. However the biggest quarterback story will be on the other side of the field.
The 49ers switched to rookie quarterback Colin Kaepernick amid some controversy, but it has been a genius move. The 49ers pistol attack has flourished since Kaepernick took over the starting gig and it has helped this team evolve and brought out the best in several players to include wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
The Super Bowl XLVII trends point to the 49ers as they have been a sports bettors dream all season long or at least since Jim Harbaugh came on board. It is kind of even honestly. You have not only two great teams but look at the reality. They have coaches that are not only great but also brothers thats close. Also you have flacco and kaepernick who both bring momentom to the game. Then you have their defense from both teams who hold nothing back. The only thing i think that it comes down to is who wants it more and how good thier day is. Also who’s healthier. I’m hopin the niners get it cuz they are good and deserve it but the ravens are playin pretty hard, there’s a reason they beat the patriots yet the niners beat the falcons who pretty much dominated the season. lol like i said b4 its pretty much even and its gonna come down to who wants it and who’s havin a good day.
