The Odds to win the BCS National Championship are changing every week. They change with big wins or bigger upsets as teams jockey in the Top 25 to try and get noticed by the pollsters, but there are several teams that have a good chance of winning the title that are going unnoticed. Everyone is looking at the Alabama Crimson Tide as favorites to win it all and last week I mentioned that the USC Trojans are worth a look.
However, here are 3 long shots that have some good odds to win the BCS Championship this year. All of Odds to win the BCS National Championship presented here are from Bovada Sportsbook.
The Texas Longhorns were steadily moving up the rankings but they had not survived a true test. Last Saturday the Longhorns answered all of the critics by securing a come from behind road win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. David Ash looks vastly improved at quarterback and with a top ten defense, the Longhorns are for real.
Florida State is not really a dark horse, but they have decent value with the recent odds. They only have one big hurdle left on the schedule and that is a Thursday night game against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Seminoles have a direct path to the BCS Championship and an undefeated season. The time is now to take a shot on Jimbo Fisher’s team.
If you did not know about Geno Smith, you do now. The speedy signal-caller had a Heisman winning day on the field against Baylor and is showing the world that the Mountaineers deserve to be a part of the championship picture this year.
