Race For the Ring is on!

The entrants pick seven picks per week and assign the picks a unit based on the strength of the pick. The picks are rated 1-7, with 7 units being the strongest pick.

In week one, 79 entrants out of the 182 entered in their picks hoping to be among the best. The ones that forgot to enter their picks start off in a big hole as they now have an 0-7 record at -30.80 units, but there is no need to panic. This contest allows contestants to make up ground rather quickly. Let’s take a look at the top three on the World Series of Handicapping leader board.

Petrogia is all alone at the top of the standings as he finished 6-1 on the week bringing in +23.80 units. Petrogia used totals to do well on the week picking just two sides.

Jgtbolts is currently in second place after finishing 5-2 on the week with a +19.60 units gain. His biggest play of the week was a Monday night winner on the San Diego Chargers.

Finally icon23 is in the third spot and although he had a better record than Jgtbolts by finishing 6-1, he lost a six unit play on Philadelphia that will keep him in third place, for now.

The standings will change many times over the long season and Bookie Blitz will have all of your updates all year long as the contestants make a run for the ring and the right to be called the World Series of Handicapping Champion.
