Make Brady Sweat
If the Rams want to win they have to put pressure on Tom Brady. Obviously, Aaron Donald is one of the best at getting after the QB. The Los Angeles defense is fourth in the NFL in sacks per pass attempt. Overall the Rams have piled up 31 sacks on the season which ranks third in the National Football League. Brady is known for a quick release to avoid pressure, but his average of 10.8 yards gained per completion is his lowest since 2002.
Run Rams Run
Although the Rams have new players in the backfield, they emphasize the run. Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown Cam Akers, all carry the ball and it works as the Rams average 134.2 yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry. But for as well as they run, the Rams run more than 70% of their offense out of three-receiver sets, which makes the play-action a deadly weapon in a game of this magnitude. Combine that with the protection that they give Goff (ranking sixth in sacks-per-pass-play) and this offense will put up big numbers in this game.
Coaches Out For the Bucs
The Buccaneers will be shorthanded for this game from a coaching standpoint.
Bucs will be without three coaches for Monday’s game vs. Rams: assistant strength coach Chad Wade, speed and conditioning coach Roger Kingdom and assistant to the head coach Mike Chiurco. Some but not all are COVID-19 related. No other coaches or players are impacted.
