2021 New Year’s Day Bowl Predictions
Peach Bowl Predictions: Cincinnati vs Georgia
Sure, Notre Dame and Alabama are playing on the same day, but the early game provides plenty of interesting stories. The Bearcats and the Bulldogs were both overlooked by the playoff committee and have something to prove coming into this game.
For the Bulldogs, JT Daniels is doing an incredible job under center this season. Daniels has thrown for 839 yards, nine touchdowns leading the Bulldogs to a few impressive wins. He leads the Bulldogs who will play on New Year’s Day for the fifth consecutive season. However, the Bulldogs are used to playing a playoff game. The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Cincinnati does well on offense led by Desmond Ridder, but the defense leads the way. The defense is ranked in the top 10 nationally and has excelled all season long. Cincinnati allowed just 3.2 yards per rush and will make Georgia a one-dimensional offense. The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games, 5-2 ATS against a team with a winning record, and 4-0 ATS in the last four games as an underdog.
Georgia missed the SEC championship game and the playoffs and will have no motivation to win this game. Take the points.

Citrus Bowl Predictions: Auburn vs Northwestern
Auburn and Northwestern seem like an afterthought with the incredible schedule on New Year’s Day, but this game will feature two incredible teams. Northwestern was a Big 10 championship game short of a playoff berth. Auburn has had a down season due to SEC standards, but still field a talented team.
Can you trust Northwestern to follow through with an impressive game against Auburn? After all, they wilted against the Buckeyes and the Wildcats are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games. The offense is lackluster and the Wildcats enter this game 11th in the Big Ten in both scoring and total offense. The bright spot is on defense as the Wildcats rank 23rd in yards allowed.
Auburn still has something to prove. The abysmal season cost coaches their job and if they want to recruit in the SEC next season they need to win this game. Gus Malzahn was fired and now QB Bo Nix and others have to show they can still win. The Tigers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and taking the points is too good to pass up.

Rose Bowl Predictions: Notre Dame vs Alabama
The first of the college football playoff games include two historic football programs. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Alabama Crismon Tide may be the two most recognizable football teams in the country. After Notre Dame was crushed by Clemson, the sportsbooks made Alabama a double-digit favorite.

Sugar Bowl Predictions: Ohio State vs Clemson
With all due respect to Notre Dame and Alabama, this is the game that everyone is waiting for. Ohio State is widely disrespected in the college football community. They did not play as many games as most of the other teams in the country. No one has disrespected the Buckeyes more than the Clemson Tigers and their head coach Dabo Swinney. He has been very public in his displeasure with the Buckeyes making the playoffs.
QB Justin Fields is out to change that. He was named both Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and Big Ten Quarterback of the Year, but his NFL draft stock is dropping. His lackluster play has many doubting Fields, which is all of the motivation that he needs to play well against Trevor Lawrence, the current undisputed No. 1 NFL draft pick. Ohio State loves the role of underdog cashing at a 20-8 ATS rate in their last 28 games as an underdog.
Lawrence is incredible and this Clemson roster is talented, but the blowout win over the Irish has produced an inflated point-spread. In nine games this year, Lawrence has thrown for 2,753 yards and 22 touchdowns. He will be the focus of OhioState on defense as they look for ways to slow him down.
Wait to make a bet on this game. As the game nears closer, the points will go up with heavy betting action on Clemson. Back the Buckeyes with the points and a chance to win this game.
