Jaguars vs Bengals Predictions and Pick

Thursday Night NFL: Jaguars vs Bengals Predictions and Pick

The Thursday night football schedule is known to have some lackluster games. A game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars may not get you excited, but if you like to bet on football it will. The NFL Week 4 odds clearly show that the bettors are overreacting. Sure, the Buccaneers and the Patriots may be the game that everyone is waiting for, but this game has some interesting angles.

Thursday Night Odds

The Bengals are at home and that is a bonus for Thursday night football. The road team has to prepare for the game and they have to travel, which always makes things difficult. The Bengals stunned the Steelers and they are riding a high coming into this game. However, the point spread shows that the Bengals are giving 7.5 points. Despite the growing pains for the Jaguars that may be too much.

Don’t Buy The Bengals…..Yet

The Bengals are a very good team and the win over the Steelers should not be overlooked, but this team is not worthy of laying over a touchdown to anyone. The offensive line is coming together since they only allowed one QB pressure against the Steelers, although TJ Watt did not play. This may have been the biggest win in the franchise history and although professionals rarely have “let-down games” this screams let-down.

Jaguars Getting Better

The Jaguars lost on Sunday against Arizona, but this team is fighting. The stat sheet does not like this team since the defense is amongst the league’s worst in total yards and points allowed. However, that is because the offense is still learning how to function as a unit. Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence is still learning and although he has his share of turnovers, he is improving in every game.

Jaguars vs Bengals Predictions and Pick

Although it is in prime-time, the Bengals will look past the Jaguars. Cincinnati is a team that is playing better than they actually are. The Jags have a young and athletic defensive front that can slow down the run and put pressure on Joe Burrow. The Bengals are just 1-5 ATS in the last six games after a win and they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

It may be hard to do, but take the Jaguars plus the points on Thursday Night Football.

NFL Week 4 2021 Odds: Finding the Dangerous Underdog

Heading into week four of the National Football League, it’s easy to think that you have all of the teams figured out. You may think that the Detroit Lions are going to be a bad team and the LA Rams are going to be a Super Bowl contender. However, when you consider the point-spread anything can happen.

NFL Week 4 2021 Odds

The schedule for this provides plenty of intriguing matchups. The prime-time games always draw attention and Brady vs Belichick is already getting overhyped. But when looking at the early NFL odds there is one dangerous underdog to keep your eye on this week.

The Dangerous Dog

The dangerous dog is an underdog that can win outright, regardless of the point spread.

There are several good teams that have the underdog label this week. The undefeated Raiders are underdogs on Monday Night Football. The Ravens and the Cardinals get the underdog tag on the road against very good teams. However, the one team that you have to keep an eye on is the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings won a week ago as home dogs to the Seattle Seahawks. Yet after a dominating win by the Cleveland Browns over lowly Chicago, the odds have Baker Mayfield and the Browns listed as a one-point favorite on the road.

The Vikings have been in every game this season and arguably could have more wins if not for a few bad bounces and missed field goals. During the second half against the Seahawks, the Viking’s defense finally put it all together.

The Vikings are an incredible home underdog, posting a 19-6-1 against the spread (ATS) record and the Browns have only covered 3 of the last ten games as a favorite. The Vikings are the dangerous dog this week.

Buccaneers vs Patriots Preview

Buccaneers vs Patriots Preview: Guess Who’s Back?

This is the game that everyone has been waiting for. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. This is not an ordinary game. With so much history between Brady and the Patriots organization, this may just be the game of the year. It is time to make a case for each team and why they may win on Sunday Night.

Buccaneers vs Patriots Odds

You cannot have a Buccaneers vs Patriots preview without discussing the point-spread. The Buccaneers are one of the best teams in the NFL, but the Patriots do have the home-field advantage. However, the oddsmakers realize that Tampa will be the popular play. That is why the Bucs opened as (-6.5) point favorites in this marquee game. [BETNOW]

Why the Buccaneers Wil Win

The Buccaneer’s secondary may be a weak spot, but Mac Jones showed against the Saints that he is not ready yet. Jones looked out of sync and often just flat-out missed his receivers. The run game stalled against the Saints and if they cannot move the ball on the ground against Tampa, Jones will be in big trouble. The Patriots have lost three home games by 15 or more points since 2020 and they are not the same team since Brady left. The Buccaneers are 5-0 against the spread (ATS) after a loss and Brady will leave New England with a win.

Why the Patriots Will Win

Tom Brady is beatable. The Rams showed how to take down Brady as they snapped his streak of scoring 30 or more points. The Patriots defense has impressed this season and they can force the Buccaneers to settle for field goals. Bill Belichick has been waiting for this rematch and he will flex his skills in this chess match. If there is one spot that the Patriots thrive, it’s the underdog role. The Patriots are 11-5 ATS as an underdog and 9-2 ATS as a home underdog. The Pats make Mac Jones comfortable in a shorter offensive scheme and they pull off an upset and send Brady home.

Eagles vs Cowboys Pick

Monday Night Football Predictions: Eagles vs Cowboys Pick

The Monday Night Football game for Week 3 is a good one as the NFC East takes center stage. The Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that will provide plenty of offensive firepower and multiple stories to track. All prime-time games usually have plenty to watch for and this one will be no different.

Hurts So Good

Jalen Hurts is an exciting young quarterback leading the Eagles, but he has had two very different games. During the first game, he looked very efficient, but against the 49ers he struggled to move the ball and put points on the board. Remove one play last week and he had only 99 passing yards. This gets more concerning when you see that the Eagles have failed to cover six of the last seven road games that they have played in.

Counting on the Cowboys

You never know what you are going to get with the Cowboys, but they pulled a very impressive road win against the Chargers. Dak Prescott is back but has been inconsistent at times as the offense adjusts. Prescott is just 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in his last seven starts, but five of those games went over the total. With a weakened Cowboys secondary this game has the potential to be high scoring.

Eagles vs Cowboys Pick

The Cowboys are America’s team because they are very popular. This is true at the betting window as well as over 69% of the handle and 63% of the bets are on the Cowboys. The negative trends surrounding the Eagles are based off the bad teams they have fielded in the past. They are a vastly improved team this season.

The Cowboys are 0-5 ATS as a home favorite and are a dangerous bet at over a field goal. To make matters worse the Cowboys are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 Monday Night Football games. Hurts will rebound for the Eagles and rookie Davonte Smith will make a big splash on a big stage in his MNF debut.

The Eagles are 6-2 ATS in the last eight games after a loss in which they failed to cover the spread. Betting the Eagles is the way to go and don’t be surprised if they win this game straight outright with a big Monday Night upset.

Eagles +3.5

Sunday Night Football: Packers vs 49ers Pick Against the Spread

The Sunday Night Football game may be the most important game each and every week. At this point, you know what picks have won or lost. The sports betting fans have this game as one last chance to make up for the week. That is why making a Packers vs 49ers pick against the spread is crucial for a winning week. If you lose on Sunday, the only thing left is this game and the Monday Night Football game.

Packers Are Back

After an ugly loss in the season opener, the Packers rebounded with an impressive win on Monday Night Football. The Packer’s offense was clicking again behind Aaron Rodgers, but it was the Detroit Lions. This week they get another difficult test when they go up against the 49er’s defense.

49ers Offense

The 49er’s offense does not get the credit that they deserve. They have had injuries in the running game, but they are still moving the ball. They got good news on Sunday with the announcement that rookie ball runner Trey Sermon will be back in the lineup. Wideout Deebo Samuel is having an incredible season. Samuel leads the NFL in yards-after-catch over-expectation and is becoming the go-to guy through the air.

Packers vs 49ers pick against the spread

The Packers look very tempting as an underdog, but the play is the 49ers. The Packers have struggled against teams (Saints, Bucs) that play very good defense. The 49ers do exactly that and they will be playing the first game at home this season. The favorite has covered 4 of the last five meetings and they get the job done tonight.

49ers -3

Saints vs Patriots Pick

When the point spread first came out on this game, many believed the oddsmakers were just putting a (-3) on this game and waiting for the action to move it. That it did as the money came in on the Saints and several sportsbooks now have the Patriots down to (-2.5).

New Orleans has had to deal with a lot of late. The Saints have been nomads since a hurricane ripped through the Big Easy. They have also had to deal with a COVID outbreak that sidelined many of their assistant coaches. But they play well in this spot.

Sean Payton and the Saints are 6-1 against the spread (ATS) as road underdogs and 29-12 ATS since 2016, which is the best record in the NFL. The Saints will be ready and they will get the win in New England.

Saints +3 [BET HERE]

Bengals vs Steelers Pick

The big news for Pittsburgh this week is the health of Ben Roethlisberger. The veteran signal-caller is playing in pain but indicates that he will be ready for the game against the Bengals. However, coach Mike Tomlin is prepared for anything.

The Bengals are vastly improved but they have had a tough time winning away from home. The Bengals have only one road victory in the last 17 road games. It is even harder for Joe Burrow and the Bengals to succeed against Pittsburgh. The Steelers own a 24-11-1 ATS advantage in the series.

The Steelers have ruled out TJ Watt, but Pittsburgh won’t need him against Joe Burrow and a Bengals offensive line that has allowed 10 sacks on the season. The odds moved due to injuries, but it won’t matter in this game.

Steelers – 3 [BET HERE]

Buccaneers vs Rams Pick

In the biggest game of the week, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers get the first true test against the LA Rams. The Buccaneers are undefeated but they have been outgained in both games and have a secondary that is very beatable.

Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford will use this game as a measuring stick. McVay is 37-27-2 ATS in his career and the Rams have covered seven of the last eight meetings with the Bucs. The Buccaneers will be without Antonio Brown and the offense will struggle to keep up with Cooper Kupp and the Rams who have one of the most explosive offenses in the game.

Rams +1.5 [BET HERE]

Obvious Picks

The first obvious pick was the Carolina Panthers who demolished the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. But if you missed that pick, don’t worry. There are still other games getting attention in survivor pools.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos will be the most popular survivor pick this week. They are the biggest favorites and they go up against the Jets. The Jets have to travel across the country and rookie QB Zach Wilson is off a game where he threw four interceptions. Now he has to face Vic Fangio another defensive mastermind. The only problem with this pick is that everyone will be taking the Broncos.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are also a very popular pick and they come in at a close second to the Broncos. The only area of concern is that they will be traveling across the country to play this game. With the MVP season that Kyler Murray is having many people will have no problem making the Cardinals a survivor pick this week. The Cardinals join teams like The Ravens, Broncos, and Bills as popular picks for week 3 in the NFL.

Surprise NFL Week 3 Survivor Picks

It’s easy to take one of the teams listed above, but if one of those teams lose, you will go down with them. Instead, why not look at a surprise pick?

New York Giants

The Giants have yet to win and they are at home. They have extra rest after losing a game on Thursday night football that they should have won. This will not be a popular pick, but the Giants will take down the Falcons this week. If there is an upset in the other games, you can advance and watch half of the field disappear.

Notre Dame vs Wisconsin Predictions

Notre Dame vs Wisconsin Predictions and Pick Against the Spread

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish is one of the most recognizable names in college football. Every week when they take the field, they get the attention of millions of football fans and wise guys that bet on the game. This week the Irish take on the Wisconsin Badgers and it will once again be another marquee game. It’s clear that everyone will make Notre Dame vs Wisconsin predictions, but don’t let the spread fool you.

Odds Watch

The college football odds are the first thing that a bettor will look at before placing a bet on the game. One look at this spread and it will seem out of whack. The Irish are ranked at No. 11 in the country and the Badgers are No. 18. Then why is Wisconsin favored by almost a touchdown in this game? Simply put, Wisconsin is the much better team. This line is even more intriguing considering the game is at soldier field.

Notre Dame vs Wisconsin Predictions

The edge in this game is that the Badgers run defense that ranks No. 1 in the country. This aggressive front will slow down the Irish and eventually force Notre Dame into a one-dimensional passing offense, scrambling to catch up. This is the perfect plan for Wisconsin who can control the clock with a rushing offense that put up over 350 yards on the ground last game.

The Irish may be tempting as an underdog but beware. The Irish are 0-5 against the spread in the last five games as an underdog and they lost four of those games by at least 17 points. On the other hand, the Badgers are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 non-conference games and 15-6 ATS after a bye week.

The Badgers will dominate the trenches on both sides of the ball and own the time of possession. The end result will be a big blowout by the Badgers.

Bet on Wisconsin -6.5

Panthers vs Texans Pick

How to Bet on Panthers vs Texans

When the NFL week 3 odds are posted, the Thursday night game is always a very popular game. It is a stand-alone game and a chance for people who bet on football to get a victory leading into a busy week of football. Although a matchup featuring the Carolina Panthers and the Houston Texans may not attract a lot of attention, that all changes if it is a primetime game.

Limping Texans

The Texans are not a very good football team, but they are still putting up a good fight. The Texans will hit the field tonight without Tyrod Taylor. The often-injured quarterback is injured again and the Texans will not go to DeShaun Watson. Instead, Davis Mills will get the start and that is adding an unknown to this game.

Keep Pounding Panthers

The Panthers are so far the surprise team of the season. They are 2-0 on the season and they have an offense that is clicking to go with a stifling defense. The Panthers are 7-0 against the spread in the last seven road games, but this one is different.  Thursday night games rarely favor the road team. With a short week and travel, the road team is at a disadvantage. Add in that the Saints are off an impressive win against a divisional rival and that makes this a letdown game.

Panthers vs Texans Pick

This is a game that you do not want to pass on. The Panthers are the better team but in a tough spot. Houston is in a good spot, but starting an unpredictable quarterback. But I know why you are here; you are here for the picks. The Panthers are 4-12-1 ATS as a road favorite and 0-6 ATS in the last 6 Thursday games. Hold your nose and trust the system.

Wrong Team Favored?

The Saints are a hard team to figure out. They start the season with a resounding win over the Packers only to be crushed in the next game against the Panthers. When a team struggles to find consistency early, it may be difficult to post odds. This week, New Orleans travels to New England to play the Patriots. The Patriots recently defeated the Jets, but that is not that impressive, considering that the Jets are rebuilding.

Vegas had no other choice, but to label the Patriots a (-3) point favorite. However, this point spread is based more on the Patriots past performance than the current status. Mac Jones is still a rookie and Sean Payton will have the Saints ready to play after a humiliating loss. The value at this point is on the Saints according to the early lines.
