The Kitchen is Closed

Last year everyone asked for Seattle to let Russ cook, but the kitchen is closed. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is not getting anything done on offense. The running game is nonexistent and Wilson is running for his life behind a banged-up offensive line. If Seattle has any chance of making the playoffs, they have to win this game. However, it won’t’ be easy against a Washington Football Team that is playing inspired football.

Washington Is For Real

Ron Rivera is a coach of the year candidate. He lost his quarterback and his best defensive player. Yet Washington still beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Then without Chase Young, Rivera returned to Carolina and beat Cam Newton avoiding the letdown. This is a clear sign that this team will play hard for their coach. Now they return home for a Monday night spotlight game against the Seahawks.

Odds and Trends

Washington is a small one-point favorite at home. Although the Seahawks are losing, the public is still backing Wilson to get the job done. This is interesting since the Seahawks are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 road games and 3-9 ATS in the last 12 games against the NFC.

Washington vs Seahawks Predictions

It is really hard to bet on a team on the road that is playing bad football and that is exactly what is going on in Seattle. Washington is in a groove and they can carry over the energy from a big win and are 6-2 ATS after a straight-up win. Taylor Heinicke looks comfortable in this offense and the veteran coaching staff in Washington has this team believing.

All is not well in Seattle. Wilson was unhappy in the offseason and this recent swoon will only hurt the relationship with Wilson and the team. Washington keeps winning at home and they take down Seattle on Monday Night Football.

Washington -1
