Series Betting recap

All bets were placed using odds from MyBookie.

Game 1 Recap

The pick was the Miami Heat in Game 1 and they responded with a big win. Before the series started I also placed a series bet on the Heat to win at +150.

Overall Results: 1-0, +1.00

Pending Bets

Heat Series Bet +150

Game 2 Recap

After a big loss in Game 1, the bet was on the Celtics to rebound with a big win. They did just that with a double-digit win that cashed the ticket easily. I placed a hedge before the game betting the Celtics to win the series at +120.

Overall Results: 2-0, +2.00

Pending Bets

Celtics Series Bet +120

Game 3 Recap

The bet in Game 3 was my first bet on the total. The bet was under 208 and it looked decent for the majority of the game. Unfortunately, it topped the total in the waning seconds of the game. This provided the first loser of the series.

Overall Results: 2-1, +.90

Game 4 Recap

After losing the total, the focus was back on the side for Game 4. The Celtics -6.5 was the bet and Boston delivered with a 20-point victory to cash this ticket with ease.

Overall Results: 3-1, +1.90

Game 5 Recap

In game 5 it was time to go back to the betting total. After an ugly offensive game, the prediction was that both teams would respond with a better offensive output. The Over 204 was a loser early in this one as the Heat only managed to score 80 points.

Overall Results: 3-2, +.80

Game 6 Recap

Game 6 provided another great opportunity to get a victory. This was a double play on the Heat plus the points and the over 201.5 Jimmy Butler and the Heat cruised to victory providing a sweep. Although the Moneyline was discussed in the article, I took a shot at a bigger return by betting the Heat to win the series at +790.

Overall Results: 5-2, +2.80

Pending Bet

Heat Series Bet +790

With a guaranteed profit return in this series, it is time to focus on the series finale in Miami.

Heat vs Celtics Game 7 Odds

Miami is a very good home team, but Boston has played well in South Beach. In fact, the Celtics are a better road team than a home team. That may explain why the Celtics are -2.5 for Game 7. The sportsbooks are predicting a defensive game with the betting total at 195.5. This is the lowest total o the series.

Picking up Profit

With a pending play on the Heat to win the series, the hedge will be made to guarantee a winning series and some big profits. My hedge will be a 4 unit play on the Celtics money line. If the Celtics or the Heat win the series, I will add another 3 units to my bankroll. Although I will hedge, I am still going to post my pick and count it against my record.

Heat vs Celtics Game 7 prediction and pick

As I mentioned the Celtics play well and cash on the road. Boston is 20-6-1 against the spread (ATS) in the last 27 on the NBA highway. They have also covered the last four out of five games in Miami. Butler and the Heat cannot match the shooting output that they had in Game 6. The game will be low-scoring and the defense will win this pivotal game. In that case, the Celtics are the better defensive team and deeper on the roster. The Heat are just 3-7 ATS as a playoff underdog and the Celtics win and advance to the NBA Finals.
