Super Bowl 2021 Odds: Sharps vs Squares Betting Report

This is it, the last game of the NFL season. This is the last chance to bet on football before the off-season. Before you turn your attention to the quarterbacks that may be changing teams (Deshaun Watson anyone?) you will want to pick a winner in the big game. The Super Bowl 2021 odds are the first step to identifying what team to bet on in the big game. If you want to see trends to track or skip to the free pick, it’s right here.

Super Bowl 2021 Odds and Line Movements

Moneylines: Buccaneers +145, Chiefs -165

Key info: Sunday, Feb. 7, 6:30 p.m. ET | TV: CBS | Stream: FREE

After defeating the Buffalo Bills the Kansas City Chiefs were set as 3.5 point favorites in the Super Bowl. As it often happens, the public jumped out on Patrick Mahomes to the tune of over 70 percent, but that line has moved. The current point-spread lists the Chiefs as three-point favorites.

The over/under in this game started out at 57 and it is now at 56.5 at most of the well-respected offshore sportsbooks.

Who the Squares are betting on….

The squares are betting on the Chiefs. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers struggled to keep the Packers at bay. Meanwhile, the Chiefs rolled the Bills and overcame an early deficit with ease. Although Brady is a fan favorite, there is a new gunslinger in town and the public is betting on Mahomes in the Super Bowl.

Who the sharps are betting on…

The sharps jumped on the 3.5 early. With the public pounding the Chiefs, the sharps had no issues grabbing the Bucs at +3.5. Brady has more experience playing in the big game than any other player on the planet and the Bucs are playing in a home game. This made it easy for the wise guys to put smart money on the Buccaneers to win a Super Bowl.

NFL Playoff Picks 2021: Ravens vs Bills Predictions

NFL Playoff Picks 2021: Ravens vs Bills Predictions

According to the NFL playoff odds, the closest game this weekend will be between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. Although other games, like the Buccaneers against the Saints, may get more hype, the game in Buffalo has the potential to be one of the best. The Ravens VS Bills predictions may be the most important ones you make all week.

Two Hot Teams

The Ravens and the Bills come into this contest with impressive winning streaks. Both quarterbacks, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are playing very good football. Allen completed 74 percent of his passes in the win against the Colts and he became the first player to throw for 300 yards while completing 70 percent of his passes and also rushing for 50 yards in a playoff game. Meanwhile, Jackson became the third player in NFL history to win the MVP award and win a playoff game by the end of his age-23 season.

The betting in this game is even with 53 percent of the wagers on Buffalo.  The spread has moved slightly from the opener of -3 and leading up to kickoff, the Bills are small 2.5 favorites.

The Ravens are getting healthy at the right time.

Ravens vs Bills Predictions

The Ravens love to be underdogs and they are true road warriors. They are 20-8-1 ATS in the last 29 road games and they are 7-1 ATS in the last 8 games on the road as underdogs. Lamar Jackson is the X-factor for the Ravens. But J.K. Dobbins has an 11.2 percent broken tackle rate which ranks sixth among all running backs. The Ravens can run the ball, control the clock and keep the ball away from the Bills. There may be more than one upset this weekend, but you can add the Ravens to the list.

2021 NFL Divisional Playoff Picks, Predictions and Upsets

2021 NFL Divisional Playoff Picks, Predictions and Upsets

****The 2022 NFL Divisional playoff picks, schedule and odds can be found here****

The list of NFL teams left in the playoffs is shrinking. This is the point of the season when the best times rise to the occasions to win and advance. The Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs are favorites to win the Super bowl.  But if the Super Wildcard weekend taught us anything, it is this. Upsets are going to happen. This is why your 2021 NFL Divisional Playoff Picks has to consider that upsets will happen.

2021 NFL Divisional Playoff Picks

Here are the playoff picks, predictions, and upsets for this week in the NFL playoffs.

LA Rams vs Green Bay Packers

The Ravens are the popular pick to pull off the upset in the first round, but the Rams deserve a look. One of the other writers on this website believes that the Rams can win the NFC. I am not that confident in this team, but he does have some valid points. The Rams have the best defense in the NFL and they can run the ball. The Packers may have the potential MVP, but the defense will have to be better at stopping the run. Home field advantage means nothing in the playoffs and the Rams will pull off the upset.

Free Pick Rams +6.5 and money line +250

Betting Bonus: Claim up to $1000 to bet on the NFL playoff with a sports welcome bonus>>>BONUS

Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills

The Bills are incredibly talented on offense. They have a better offense than Baltimore by far. However, the Ravens are better on defense and coaching. Josh Allen is very talented but he is prone to mistakes, especially in crunch time. He lost the game in the playoffs a year ago and he almost handed the game to the Colts in the playoff opener. The line moved off the field goal because the smart money is on Baltimore. The Bills have won just one of the last five meetings against Baltimore. The Bills will have 6,700 fans in attendance, but it won’t be enough. Ravens get upset.

NFL Playoffs Picks Against the Spread for Every game Jan 10

NFL Playoffs Picks Against the Spread for Every game Jan 10

The NFL playoffs are underway and the first day of action was worth the wait. Now as we head into Sunday and the second day of Wildcard action there is another NFL tripleheader to watch and wager on.  At this time of the season, every game is important and it is not always easy to make NFL Playoffs Picks against the spread for every game.

Ravens vs Titans

The first game of the fay may just be the best one. The Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans are two of the hardest hitting teams in the league. The best part is that they do not like one another and that will lead to a physical game. This game has already been covered on our site with in-depth analysis. Read the preview, get the free pick, and see who wins by clicking here.

Bears vs Saints

The Bears have had an up and down season. They have changed quarterbacks but heading into the playoffs they are playing the best football of the season. With an always imposing defense and an offense that is finally putting up points, the Bears provide a challenge for the Saints.

The Saints are always a good team and this year is no exception. Drew Brees is playing in what may be his final season. The offense is finally healthy and Michael Thomas has been held out for the final few regular-season games to make sure he is ready for the game against the Bears. The problem is the Saints are being asked to cover double-digits although some sportsbooks have this line down to as low as Saints -9.

That may seem like a lot of points, but the Bears do not have one of their best defenders in the lineup, and that is a problem.

The Bears backed into this playoff game with a loss to the Packers. That game showed that the Bears cannot beat elite teams in the NFL. The Bears are 6-18 ATS in their last 24 games following a double-digit loss at home and the Saints are one of the best teams covering the spread down the stretch.

The Saints have covered the spread in 7 of the last 9 games and they do it again in the playoffs.

Saints -9 [BET NOW]

Browns vs Steelers

The NFL playoffs best bet point to a winning bet on the over/under in this game, but the side is worth a look as well. It is always interesting to watch two teams who have to play in back-to-back games. In the last game, the Steelers rested all of their best players and had nothing to play for. Yet, they almost pulled off the upset. Now with all of their players back in the lineup, it’s easy to assume that the Steelers will win.

To make matters worse for the Browns, they had to practice virtually this week as they were dealing with COVID restrictions. But it should be noted that the Steelers are just 1-4 in the last five games. You can remove the game against the Browns, but they are not playing well.

The Browns offense is averaging 350 yards over the last three games and Baker Mayfield is gaining confidence. The Browns also have a run offense that is ranked third in the league with 148 yards per game.

The Steelers are overconfident coming into this game and the Browns are going to shock the world!

This is college basketball season. If you are not paying attention to the season already, you are behind. This can come back to haunt you when March Madness begins.

West Virginia vs Oklahoma State

The Mountaineers are one of the top teams in the country and are fresh off an upset loss to Oklahoma. West Virginia gave it their all by coming back from an 18-point deficit, but they were not able to get the win. This is the first game that they played without two players. The Mountaineers lost two forwards in freshman Isaiah Cottrell and sophomore Oscar Tshiebwe. Without those two big players, they had to make adjustments all throughout this game. This is a tough blow for a team that ranks in the top 50 in offensive rebounds. They were outrebounded by the Sooners 41-36. Now they stay in Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Monday night on ESPN 2.

The good news for West Virginia is that Oklahoma State is off an upset that went to overtime and they will have to regroup for this contest. But the Cowboys have the edge playing at home against a Mountaineers team that is 2-5 ATS in the last seven games. Oklahoma State has attempted the second-most free throws among all Big 12 teams, averaging 22.7 free throws per game this season. Oklahoma State’s trio of Cade Cunningham, Isaac Likekele, and Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe is hard to stop.

The Mountaineers are still figuring out the inside defensive rotation and the Cowboys will win this game on the free-throw line.

2021 National Championship Game Picks: Alabama vs Ohio State Predictions

The college football season has come down to just two teams. The National Championship Game picks will focus on the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both teams are off impressive victories in the semifinals and will look to return to the top of the college football world. Alabama vs Ohio State predictions will focus on the odds, matchups, and the one team that will be crowned champion of the 2020-2021 college football season.

Alabama vs Ohio State Betting Odds

There will be plenty of time to bet on this game, but if you want to get the best spread on the team you are betting on, you will have to pay attention. Since the line opened Alabama has been anywhere from a 6.5-8.5 point favorite. Our early odds and Sharp vs Squares betting action report, points out why this line has moved so much.

Super Stars Galore

There is no shortage of big named players in this game. The Crimson Tide ushers out Heisman candidates in QB Mac Jones and WR DeVonta Smith. Smith and Jones shined against Notre Dame and during the season with big games. HC Nick Saban may be the biggest name in this star-studded event.

Ohio State has some big names too, but none bigger than QB Justin Fields. Fields was bruised and battered but still managed to toss six touchdowns in the rout against the Clemson Tigers. Unfortunately, the Buckeyes are 1-5 against the spread (ATS) following a win of more than 20 points. Fields took a shot to the ribs and was hobbled in his last outing, something that the Tide will be aiming for in this game. Not to be overlooked, RB Trey Sermon has posted 524 rushing yards in the last two games, the most in a two-game span by any Buckeye in history.

But it is important to avoid getting caught up in the hype when making Alabama vs Ohio predictions for a championship game.

Alabama vs Ohio Predictions

This Alabama offense is the best offense in college football history. Yep, I said it, the best ever. Ohio State has a good defensive front, but the secondary will not be able to keep up with the pass catchers of the Crimson Tide. Ohio State pressured Trevor Lawrence, but only managed a pair of sacks. This Bama O-line is even better.

The Buckeyes are good enough to make this a game and Ryan Day deserves credit for a job well done. Unfortunately, they don’t have what it takes to keep up in this game.

Alabama wins and claims it’s 16th National Championship, second-most in college football history. Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are once again one of the best teams in college football!

UPDATE: The spread of (7) is long gone. If the spread gets over 10 points an opportunity to middle the bet may arise. However, we are sticking with the Tide in this game. Good Luck and Roll Tide!

2021 Alabama vs Ohio State Odds: Opening Numbers

Before the CFP semifinals, sportsbooks put out advanced spreads based on the potential matchups. The advanced line between Alabama and Ohio State was 11 points. That changed after the Buckeyes blew the doors off Clemson in the Sugar Bowl. The opening line was different at the major sportsbooks, but the consensus opening line was the Crimson Tide -7 with the Over/Under set at 76 points. It is that betting total that is catching the eye of the public bettors.

UPDATE: This spread is moving with all of the betting action leading up to game time. The spread can still be found at 8.5 or 9 at many of the popular betting sites. Alabama at one time was getting 61 percent of the bets, but that has dropped to 55 percent the day before the big game.

Who are the Squares Betting on?

The public bettors (also known as Squares) are betting the over in this game. It can’t get high enough for the public to get off this number. The total of 76 is the highest total for a championship game in the BCS and College Football Playoff eras. The public loves scoring and they love to see a high scoring game, so it’s only natural to want to root for points. Yet this total is dropping and can be found at 75 at many sportsbooks. This is an indication that the smart money is on the under.

UPDATE: The betting total is as low as 75, but it is creeping back up and the majority is at 75.5.

Who are the Sharps Betting on?

It is clear that the smart money (also known as Sharps) like the under in this game, but what about the side? The Crimson Tide are favorites, but that is no surprise considering that Alabama has been favored in 79 consecutive games. The public is betting on the Tide as 61 percent of the early betting action is on Alabama. That is pushing this line up to 8 points, with a few sportsbooks showing 8.5. Many smart handicappers stay away from games of this magnitude. It is clear that the few that are betting in this game believe that the value lies with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Kentucky vs North Carolina State Picks

The Gator Bowl features the Kentucky Wildcats and the North Carolina Wolfpack in the opening game. The unique thing about this game is that the Wildcats have a losing record and they are favored by 3 points to win this bowl game. North Carolina State is using this as motivation, but the  4-10 ATS in their last 14 games as an underdog.

Kentucky senior Terry Wilson who has1,095 passing yards and seven touchdowns can join elite company with his second bowl game victory. He is joined by Kentucky redshirt sophomore Christopher Rodriguez who looked good in the return in the season finale. He has 9 touchdowns on the season and he is the player to watch in this game. The Wildcats are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and they have covered 9 of the last 13 games as a favorite.

Why is a team with a losing record a favorite in a bowl game? Because the sportsbooks know what they are doing.

Gator Bowl Pick: Kentucky -2.5 [Click the gift to get the sports betting bonus >> ]

Mississippi vs Indiana Picks

Indiana is a feel-good story for college football this season. They came out of nowhere to have a successful season and are now 8.5 point favorites in the Outback Bowl. The Hoosiers come into this game with a 7-0 ATS that has to make bettors happy. The Hoosiers lead the country with 17 interceptions and the defense ranks 19th in points allowed at 19.4 PPG. Indiana is 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a straight-up win and is focused for this game.

The Rebels won three of their last four games, but have not had many bright spots this season. Ole Miss has an incredible offense, but they will be without two stars for this bowl game. Top pass-catchers WR Elijah Moore and TE Kenny Yeboah have opted out and will not play in this game. The Rebels are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and are just happy to be here.

Indiana has a chip on their shoulder after being snubbed and they have players that grew up in the area. If this football program is going to succeed in the future they need big bowl wins.

Outback Bowl Pick: Indiana -8.5

[Click the gift to get the sports betting bonus >> ]

Oregon vs Iowa State Picks

Iowa State had a solid chance to win a Big -12 title, but they fell short. The Cyclones were just 30 yards short and this is impressive considering they had three turnovers in the game. Iowa State played every game this year and had no COVID-19 issues, so losing this game is a tough pill to swallow. After a disappointing game like that one, it is very difficult to get up for a bowl game. This is just the second time Iowa State has been favored in a bowl game, yet the Cyclones are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Bowl games.

Oregon is a football team that is used to getting overlooked. They won the Pac-12 title and were only invited as a fill-in team. The disrespect and the opportunity are not lost on the Ducks. They also have the youngest roster in the FBS and the team will be energized and ready to play in this game. They have a speedy defense and they can get turnovers which is the biggest problem with Iowa State.

The Ducks are 5-0 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record and they will not be intimidated to play the Cyclones. Bet on the motivated team.

Fiesta Bowl Pick: Oregon +4

[Click the gift to get the sports betting bonus >> ]

North Carolina vs Texas A&M Picks

The Texas A&M Aggies were on the outside looking in when it comes to the College Football Playoffs. This may be a redemption game for the Aggies or a game they do not want to play in. HC Jimbo Fisher is 25-10 as the leader of this team, which includes two bowl victories. Yet, the Aggies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

The Tarheels will be undermanned for this game. North Carolina will be without Michael Carter and Javonte Williams, the two leading rushers out of the backfield. QB Sam Howell is the real deal and he protects the ball with just two interceptions in the last seven games. Howell will have to fend off an Aggies defensive line that has a sack rate of 8.1 percent, ranking 27th in the country. Losing players is never a good thing, but trust in good coaching to keep the Tarheels on target. This is a game that comes down to the wire.

Orange Bowl Picks: North Carolina +7.5

2021 New Year’s Day Bowl Predictions

Peach Bowl Predictions: Cincinnati vs Georgia

Sure, Notre Dame and Alabama are playing on the same day, but the early game provides plenty of interesting stories. The Bearcats and the Bulldogs were both overlooked by the playoff committee and have something to prove coming into this game.

For the Bulldogs, JT Daniels is doing an incredible job under center this season. Daniels has thrown for 839 yards, nine touchdowns leading the Bulldogs to a few impressive wins. He leads the Bulldogs who will play on New Year’s Day for the fifth consecutive season. However, the Bulldogs are used to playing a playoff game. The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.

Cincinnati does well on offense led by Desmond Ridder, but the defense leads the way. The defense is ranked in the top 10 nationally and has excelled all season long. Cincinnati allowed just 3.2 yards per rush and will make Georgia a one-dimensional offense. The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games, 5-2 ATS against a team with a winning record, and 4-0 ATS in the last four games as an underdog.

Georgia missed the SEC championship game and the playoffs and will have no motivation to win this game. Take the points.

Free Pick: Cincinnati +7 [Get the best line and make your best bet by clicking here!]

Citrus Bowl Predictions: Auburn vs Northwestern

Auburn and Northwestern seem like an afterthought with the incredible schedule on New Year’s Day, but this game will feature two incredible teams. Northwestern was a Big 10 championship game short of a playoff berth. Auburn has had a down season due to SEC standards, but still field a talented team.

Can you trust Northwestern to follow through with an impressive game against Auburn? After all, they wilted against the Buckeyes and the Wildcats are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games. The offense is lackluster and the Wildcats enter this game 11th in the Big Ten in both scoring and total offense. The bright spot is on defense as the Wildcats rank 23rd in yards allowed.

Auburn still has something to prove. The abysmal season cost coaches their job and if they want to recruit in the SEC next season they need to win this game. Gus Malzahn was fired and now QB Bo Nix and others have to show they can still win. The Tigers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and taking the points is too good to pass up.

Free Pick: Auburn +3.5 [Get the best line and make your best bet by clicking here!]

Rose Bowl Predictions: Notre Dame vs Alabama

The first of the college football playoff games include two historic football programs. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Alabama Crismon Tide may be the two most recognizable football teams in the country. After Notre Dame was crushed by Clemson, the sportsbooks made Alabama a double-digit favorite.

Read the complete betting preview and get the pick against the spread for Notre Dame vs Alabama

Sugar Bowl Predictions: Ohio State vs Clemson

With all due respect to Notre Dame and Alabama, this is the game that everyone is waiting for. Ohio State is widely disrespected in the college football community. They did not play as many games as most of the other teams in the country. No one has disrespected the Buckeyes more than the Clemson Tigers and their head coach Dabo Swinney. He has been very public in his displeasure with the Buckeyes making the playoffs.

QB Justin Fields is out to change that. He was named both Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and Big Ten Quarterback of the Year, but his My Bookie Betting BonusNFL draft stock is dropping. His lackluster play has many doubting Fields, which is all of the motivation that he needs to play well against Trevor Lawrence, the current undisputed No. 1 NFL draft pick. Ohio State loves the role of underdog cashing at a 20-8 ATS rate in their last 28 games as an underdog.

Lawrence is incredible and this Clemson roster is talented, but the blowout win over the Irish has produced an inflated point-spread. In nine games this year, Lawrence has thrown for 2,753 yards and 22 touchdowns. He will be the focus of OhioState on defense as they look for ways to slow him down.

Wait to make a bet on this game. As the game nears closer, the points will go up with heavy betting action on Clemson. Back the Buckeyes with the points and a chance to win this game.

Betting Breakdown

With several college football bowl games canceled for today, this may be the biggest game on New Year’s Eve. San Jose State has yet to lose a game and the public loves to bet on an undefeated team. The Spartans opened as 7.5 favorites but that point-spread quickly ballooned to over 9 points, with the top betting sportsbooks posting a few 10 point spreads. This is mainly due to the fact that over 70 percent of the money is on San Jose State to remain undefeated and cover the double-digits in this bowl game.

Ball State vs San Jose State predictions

San Jose State QB Nick Starkel is a great player who has the benefit of playing behind one of the best offensive lines in football. Actually, the Spartans are good in the trenches overall with a fantastic defensive line as well. They do have some issues at the betting window with a 3-8 ATS record in their last 11 non-conference games.

Don’t sleep on Ball State. The Cardinals are motivated as they have never won a bowl game in school history. At 6-1, they have an underrated, My Bookie Betting Bonusbut an aggressive team that is very good at causing turnovers. The Mac Champions have won six straight games posting a perfect 4-0 ATS record in the last four lined games. Behind the play of QB Drew Plitt, they have kept games close. Four of Ball State’s six wins have come by one score or less. The Cardinals will be without RB Caleb Huntley but Plitt will have success through the air against a Spartans defense that gave up at least 220 yards passing in every game but one.

Free Pick: Ball State +10 [BET HERE]
