Can the Pacers Overcome the Odds?

The Celtics’ experience, depth, and talent give them a significant edge. However, the Pacers’ resilience and momentum can’t be ignored. Here are some key factors that could influence the outcome:

  • Pacers’ Three-Point Shooting: Indiana thrives on their outside shooting. If they can consistently knock down threes, they can stay competitive against the Celtics’ potent offense.
  • Celtics’ Defense: Boston prides itself on suffocating defense. If they can limit the Pacers’ scoring opportunities, especially from beyond the arc, the series could swing in their favor quickly.
  • Home Court Advantage: The Celtics have the luxury of home-court advantage throughout the series. TD Garden will be a cauldron of noise, potentially disrupting the Pacers’ rhythm.

Boston Celtics Odds: Can the Celtics Win in Orlando?

Boston Celtics Odds: Can the Celtics Win in Orlando?

The Boston Celtics odds keep getting better and better every day. The NBA restart is going to be interesting to say the least. Players are opting out or testing positive and this can provide a tough road for any team. However, the Celtics are getting a lot of love from basketball betting prognosticators who are picking this team to win the NBA Championship. The Lakers odds show that they are the current favorite, but all eyes are on Boston.

Can Boston survive the East?

The East is loaded with talented teams that include the favorite Milwaukee, the defending champs in the Raptors and contenders in Indiana and Philadelphia. Like Boston, they are coming to Orlando healthy and ready to go. The Boston Celtics odds look like a good value bet, but buyer beware.

BUt what does help is that the competition is losing players as the Pacers have announced that their best player is going to be sitting out.

The Pacers have more than one player sitting out and that will only help the Celtics, but will it be enough?

Sizing up the Celtics

The NBA schedule in Orlando sets up nicely for the Celtics, but they have one glaring problem. One of the problems with this Celtics team is the lack of size.  They have rotated players at the center position, but have had trouble guarding big men like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid. Brad Stevens is an excellent head coach and knows how to plan for a weakness like this, but it won’t be easy. Some of even suggested that Marcus Smart take over guarding the center position. This is one of the reasons that the Sixers took the first three of four head-to-head battles.

Don’t Buy Boston

Boston has a very deep team and they are very good. The Boston Celtics odds are 14-1 to win an NBA Championship. Only the Bucks have better odds to win it all (+275). The Celtics are an enticing wager at that price, but the chances that they get out of the East are slim. If they manage to get out of the East beating Anthony Davis and LeBron James is a very tough task. The Celtics are a very popular bet and that is not usually a good thing. Stay away from Boston.
