This is a big game for the Browns. They currently reside in the basement of the AFC North, but they are only one game out of first place. The Bengals were exposed a week ago against the Jets, especially on defense. Cincinnati has problems tackling and that will be emphasized against Nick Chubb and a strong running game. The Browns have covered four of the last five games as a road underdog and they beat the Bengals on Sunday.

It has been a tough week for the Las Vegas Raiders. Hell, it’s been a tough year. They lost their coach under some pretty difficult circumstances. Now they have to travel east to take on a Giants team that is underrated. To make matters worse, the Raiders are just 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine games as a road favorite.

Just because the MAC is not as popular or as talented as the SEC, it does not mean it will not provide an opportunity to make money. Toledo is the favorite in this game and the sportsbook made the Rockets a 9.5 point favorite. The Eagles are big underdogs despite this trend. Eagles QB Ben Bryant can put up the points. Under his guidance, the Eagles have put up at least 30 points in his four starts. He leads the MAC in quarterback rating and will be able to keep this game close. The Eagles are 24-9 ATS in road games and have revenge after being dominated in years past. Colts Are Back In the Race

The Indianapolis Colts have had a slow start to the season. Early adjustments, a tough schedule, and injuries sidelined this team for the first few weeks. Who are the Patriots? We really don’t know yet. They have looked good against bad teams and have failed to finish against good teams. They get another chance today with a coast-to-coast trip to take on Justin Herbert and the Chargers.

Throw out all of the trends with Tom Brady on the team and the Patriots are still a respectable 6-5 ATS as a dog. Bill Belichick knows how to confuse young quarterbacks and the Chargers of some injury issues that are concerning. There are two things to watch in this game.

The Patriots are much better than the Chargers on special teams and Hunter Henry will be facing off against his former team. The Chargers are 3-11 ATS at home against a team with a losing record. The Patriots will control the ball and will have the Bolts on upset alert.

Minnesota is For Real

The big story about the Sunday night game is the health of Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. It won’t matter if he plays or not. The Vikings have the better team. They are better on defense and on offense. It is smart to bet the Vikings now and then if Dak plays and the spread flips again you can look for more value.

Kirk Cousins is easily the most underrated QB in the NFL. People may point out his poor record in primetime games, but he is actually 5-2 ATS on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings against the Vikings and 1-5 ATS in Minnesota. Dallas is the only undefeated team against the spread (6-0) but that ends tonight.

Washington Football Team +9

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are rolling right along and there is no reason to believe that they will not win again this week against the Washington Football Team. However, the Packers are not a team that is built to cover a nine-point spread. Over 85 percent of the public is betting on Green Bay, but that is misleading. Washington is well-coached and they will play to the end. The Eagles are traveling coast-to-coast to take on the Raiders, yet they are only three-point underdogs. The Raiders beat down the Broncos in the last outing and they may seem like they are the better team, but they are not. Jalen Hurts and the offense are starting to click and expect a heavy dose of Miles Sanders running the ball. The Raiders are only 1-5 against the spread (ATS) as a home favorite and they are on upset alert on Sunday.

The media will tell you that this is a revenge game for Matthew Stafford. In reality, it is the Lions QB Jared Goff that is out for revenge. Goff remembers how the Rams dealt with the trade. Goff is now being questioned on his ability by his own head coach. If there is anyone that has anything to prove it is Jared Goff. The Lions are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following a double-digit loss at home and they face a confident Rams team. The Rams are 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win of more than 14 points. That all adds up to a play against the Rams on Sunday.

Taking on the Titans

It may be difficult to take the Titans, but at home, under the Monday night lights, anything can happen. Home teams have covered four out of the five games on Monday this year. Titans QB Ryan Tannenhill has had some success against the Bills in the past. In the most recent meeting, he torched the Bills defense in a blowout win. But in order for that to happen the Titans will have to protect their quarterback. This is something they have failed to do since they have allowed 20 sacks this season, the most in the league.

Allen is hitting deep passes of 20 or more yards at a 50 percent rate and he spreads the ball out to multiple receivers. The Titans may keep this game close early, but in the end, the Bills will win and cover this number.

Although they are playing on the road and it is a short week, the Buccaneers are still big favorites. The op-rated sportsbooks opened this game up with the Buccaneers (-6.5) and that number quickly jumped to (-7) with over 70 percent of the early money on Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are 5-1 against the spread in the last six games and Brady is playing like the MVP candidate that he is. However, there is more to this game than meets the eye.

Battered Brady

Tom Brady has a thumb injury, but that won’t stop him from playing. He has had worst injuries in the past but the only difference now is that we actually get to hear about them. However, people that bet on this game will only pay attention to the fact that Brady passed for 400-plus yards and five touchdowns for the first time in his career.

Catching COVID

There is bad news out of Philadelphia as Dallas Goedert has tested positive for COVID-19. He needs two positive tests if he is going to play on Thursday. This is highly unlikely with a Thursday night game.

Luckily the Eagles have more targets on offense and they have a very capable tight end replacement in Zach Ertz.

2021 Buccaneers vs Eagles Week 6 Predictions

Say what you will about the Eagles, this team has serious grit. They looked awful in the first half against the Panthers. Yet they stayed the course, learned from their early mistakes, and win the game. Jalen Hurts struggled early but did not stop and ultimately won the game in the fourth quarter.

The Eagle’s defense deserves more credit than they get. They created three interceptions and became the second team to have four players with six or more pressures since 2018. A defense that can put pressure on Brady can keep this game close.

The Buccaneers have historically had trouble covering on Thursday night football with a 1-7 ATS record. When you are the champion, everyone is aiming to dethrone the champions. On a short week, the Bucs will have to be better and this is the truth: Philadelphia has the better defense against the pass.

The Eagles have covered 5 of the last 6 Thursday night games and they 4-0 ATS in the four games at home. The rowdy Philly crowd will lead the Eagles to an upset victory on Thursday night. (But take the points)

Jets vs Falcons Predictions

The early game is the New York against the Atlanta Falcons and it is very clear up to this point that the Jets are the better team. Finally, this is also a divisional game and this often indicates a close game.

If the Bills win this game they will be the favorite to win the AFC. But it won’t be easy, the Chiefs have one of the best home-field advantages in the league.  The Chiefs also feed off a win as evident by this trend. Are the Rams In Trouble?

The Rams looked awful against the Arizona Cardinals, but is that that the real Rams or just a hangover from the win over Tom Brady? During the loss QB Matthew Stafford forced the ball to his favorite target in Cooper Kupp and he could not connect. Will the Real Russell Wilson Please Stand Up?

The Seattle Seahawks are a good team, right? For the first few drives against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle looked bad. But then Russ turned it in. Many will suggest if the 49ers had a kicker and if Jimmy G stayed in the game, the results may have been different. However, Wilson is a deep ball master cashing in 4 out of 5 times for 76 yards and touchdown on passes of more than 10 yards. When the Seahawks are in trouble, Wilson delivers. Before this win, the Seahawks were an abysmal 2-5 ATS in the last seven games overall.

The Rams will be a popular pick this week but this is a tough spot. They are off a bad loss and they have a short travel week.
