Taking on the Titans

It may be difficult to take the Titans, but at home, under the Monday night lights, anything can happen. Home teams have covered four out of the five games on Monday this year. Titans QB Ryan Tannenhill has had some success against the Bills in the past. In the most recent meeting, he torched the Bills defense in a blowout win. This NFL season is wacky. Teams that were expected to succeed like the Chiefs are struggling. Young quarterbacks like Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts are killing it in fantasy football and if you bet on the NFL realize one thing. The underdogs are off to a hot start. Bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars +3.5

The early game in London is a treat with the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars giving us some early football. Tua Tagovailoa is back for the Dolphins and that is drawing some attention as over 60 percent of the action is on the Dolphins.

Luckily the Eagles have more targets on offense and they have a very capable tight end replacement in Zach Ertz.

Say what you will about the Eagles, this team has serious grit. They looked awful in the first half against the Panthers. Yet they stayed the course, learned from their early mistakes, and win the game. Jalen Hurts struggled early but did not stop and ultimately won the game in the fourth quarter.

The Eagle’s defense deserves more credit than they get. They created three interceptions and became the second team to have four players with six or more pressures since 2018. A defense that can put pressure on Brady can keep this game close.

The Buccaneers have historically had trouble covering on Thursday night football with a 1-7 ATS record. When you are the champion, everyone is aiming to dethrone the champions. On a short week, the Bucs will have to be better and this is the truth: Philadelphia has the better defense against the pass.

The Eagles have covered 5 of the last 6 Thursday night games and they 4-0 ATS in the four games at home. The rowdy Philly crowd will lead the Eagles to an upset victory on Thursday night. (But take the points)

Jets vs Falcons Predictions

The early game is the New York against the Atlanta Falcons and it is very clear up to this point that the Jets are the better team. When it comes to big games, the Red River Rivalry is one of the biggest and the best. Top-ranked Oklahoma will face off against their bitter rival. Many may be surprised that Oklahoma is a small (-3.5) point favorite, but that just shows how close this series is. Texas QB Casey Thompson is motivated to win this game and the Longhorns are averaging over 550 yards on offense since he took over. The Sooners are 2-7 against the spread (ATS) in the last nine meetings and will stumble again in this game. Texas is 6-1 ATS in the last seven games overall and they win the game.

After watching the Georgia Bulldog defense dominate the Arkansas Razorbacks last week it may be easy to see why they are double-digit favorites against the Auburn Tigers. Georgia will look past this game. They have crushed Auburn in recent history winning the last four meetings and will not take this game seriously. If there is a good time to bet on the Tigers it is when they are a home dog. The Tigers are 10-4 ATS as a home underdog and 14-6 ATS in the last 20 games at home. Auburn keeps it close.

Notre Dame vs Virginia Tech

Notre Dame is out of the playoff picture. After getting beat by Cincinnati at home, this team literally has no chance of making the playoffs. That is deflating for a team with high aspirations. Now they have to travel to Blacksburg to play in one of the toughest venues in the country. The Hokies have already beaten a ranked team and they are 11-5 ATS at home against teams with a winning record. This spread is small, so it is tempting to take the Irish, but don’t do it.
