New York Giants at Cleveland Browns

[BET on This Game Here]

The Browns did not play many starters in week one, but they did get a victory. This is because the defense was stout and Kyle Lauletta (who?) played well. This week the Giants will not let Daniel Jones get some reps but the starting offensive line will be on the field. But is the preseason so Jones and Baker Mayfield are dying to get on the field, so keep an eye on this.

The Giant’s defense is impressive in its own right. The Browns look as though they are all about resting the starters and they focused on passing the ball a week ago. They may have to go that route again since the Giants do have a stout run defense that ranked in the top ten a year ago.

The true difference in this game is the second and third units. Cleveland has a better and deeper team and will pull away with the win and teh cover.

Bet on the Browns -5.5

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Chargers

[BET on This Game Here]

The 49ers young QB Trey Lance got praise for a deep touchdown pass in the opener, but overall he was not super impressive. Jimmy Garoppolo struggled in joint practices with the Bolts and will be inconsistent in this meeting. Brandon Staley is pushing a winning mentality that includes the preseason. He is resting all of his big names, so everyone wants to bet against the Chargers, but beware.

The 49ers are 9-24-1 ATS as favorites.

Bet on the Chargers +5.5

NFL Preseason Week 2 2021 Picks Against the Spread For Saturday

NFL Preseason Week 2 2021 Picks Against the Spread For Saturday

Making winning picks in the NFL is never easy. This is especially true in the preseason. Players and game plans can change instantly without warning. But, if you put in the time and hard work you may be able to pick a few winners.  We started off the week with an easy winner with the Patriots and the Chiefs. but now it is time to cover the week 2 NFL schedule for Saturday and deliver the NFL Preseason Week 2 2021 Picks.

Saturday, August 21

Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears

[BET on This Game Here]

The big news in this game is that Mitch Trubisky is going to get some playing time against the Bears. The Bills will go out of their way to make sure he has a decent outing. And the fans will look forward to it.

However, the Bears are deeper especially at QB since Andy Dalton has something to prove after the comments that he made earlier this week.

Bet on the Bears -5

New York Jets at Green Bay Packers

[BET on This Game Here]

The Jets seem serious about winning in the preseason. The Packers? Not so much. Jordan Love is unlikely to play and you know Green Bay wants to keep Aaron Rodgers healthy. Zach Wilson will add to his impressive debut with another quality outing and that makes the Jets, the best bet in this game.

Bet on the Jets -2.5

Baltimore Ravens at Carolina Panthers

[BET on This Game Here]

As I said in week one, don’t bet against Jim Harbaugh and the Ravens in the preseason. All they do is win and they are going to break a record for consecutive victories if they win this game against the Panthers. Let’s not make it hard.

Bet on the Ravens -3.5

Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

[BET on This Game Here]

The joint practices have been fun to watch as these two teams are getting feisty. Bucs WR Antonio Brown was thrown out of practice and they had four brawls during the joint practices. That is the mentality of the Titans who play hard every time out. This includes the preseason.

Bet on the Titans PK

Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers

[BET on This Game Here]

The Ravens get credit for a successful preseason, but what about the Steelers? Mike Tomlin is 11-3 in his last 14 games. But, the Lions need a successful outing in this contest. The Steelers have had a good preseason and will be looking past this game as they focus on the start of the season. The Steelers still win, but it’s close.

Bet on the Lions +6.5

Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings

[BET on This Game Here]

Don’t let last week influence how you bet this week. The Vikings rested everyone and got crushed, so it’s easy to fade them this week against the Colts. But it also can be a sign of how Mike Zimmer is treating the new preseason schedule. The Colts have announced that they will play most of their starters in this game. The Colts are more interested in this game and therefore the bet to make.

Bet on the Colts +2.5

Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins

[BET on This Game Here]

Not many people may have noticed it, but the Dolphins are in trouble. The offensive line is not getting the job done and the rushing game is struggling to find a lead back. The Falcons may not have had a good offensive outing, but Calvin Ridley is looking sharp in practice. In fact, the Falcons looked like the much better team in joint practices and that will show in this game.

Bet on the Falcons +5

Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys

[BET on This Game Here]

Bad teams play well in the preseason. We mentioned that a week ago when the Texans were small dogs against the Packers. They are just over an FG underdog against the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy does not care about winning. He is 2-4 in the last 6 preseason games and the Cowboys treat this as a walkthrough and the Texans treat this as the Super Bowl.

Bet on the Texans +3.5

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams

[BET on This Game Here]

The Rams and the Raiders spent the week brawling during joint practices ahead of their nationally televised showdown. The Rams treat preseason like a practice. They have already lost top starters to injury and they don’t want to lose any more players in a meaningless game. Sean McVay has never had a winning record in the preseason. Meanwhile, Jon Gruden is 7-2 in the preseason and has not had a losing record in the exhibition since 2006. This spread is high for a reason.

Bet on the Raiders -6.5

Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks

[BET on This Game Here]

The Broncos had the best performance of any team in week one of the preseason. They have Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater fighting for the starting job and the public is buying in on Denver. But this spread has jumped too many points since the opening line. The value is on Seattle and they are 11-5 against the spread in the last 16 games as an underdog. Bet the birds.

Chiefs Playing Starters

With a shortened preseason, different coaches handle each game differently. Chief’s coach Andy Reid has revealed the status of his starters for Friday night and if you like the Chiefs, this is good news.

The Chiefs offense is the best in the business and the Cardinals seem to be happy with treating this as an exhibition game.

Doubting Defense

The Cardinals will have to face the Chief’s explosive offense without several key players on defense.  JJ Watt and Chandler Jones will not play in this game. Also, linebacker Markus Golden is a game-time decision.

Odds and Trends

The Chiefs started out as 2 point favorites in this game, but after that announcement that Reid made, it has to change. The latest look at the top NFL sportsbooks shows that the Chiefs are just -2.5 for the game. The guys in Las Vegas don’t make mistakes, so the small line move may be too good to be true. Reid is putting his starters out there but that doesn’t always equal a cover or a victory for that matter. Reid is just 4-5 in his last nine preseason games and the Chiefs are 2-8 against the spread in the last 10 games as a favorite.

Chiefs vs Cardinals Picks

So what is the best way to bet on this game? The Chiefs will have the obvious edge in the first half of this game.

Chiefs first half -1.5 [BET HERE]

If the Chiefs offense does well early and puts up points, don’t be surprised if Reid benches the offense to avoid injury. This will make a full-game bet on the Chiefs tough to watch in the second half. If you want to win in the NFL preseason you have to adjust and bet wisely.

Eagles vs Patriots Preseason Picks

Eagles vs Patriots Preseason Picks: How to Bet

The Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots have been battling in joint practices all week long. They take to the field for a full game on Thursday night when the two teams kick off the second week of the NFL preseason schedule. There is a lot to consider if you plan on betting on this prime-time game.

Where to Bet the NFL Preseason

This is the time of year when all of the top sportsbooks are vying for your business. Whether you live in the United States or Canada, finding the right sportsbook is crucial to your success when you bet on the NFL. The betting lines, options, and perks all have to be considered before signing up.

Odds and Trends

The Eagles opened up as small underdogs. The Patriots are currently -2 for this game, but several other locations have the Eagles as +1.5 underdogs so shop around at the best outlets for the best line. The Patriots won the opener and are now 6-2 against the spread in the last 8 preseason games. Although many assume Bill Belichick is a “bet against” in the preseason he has won seven of his last nine games.

Joint Practice Notes

When teams meet in joint practices it does not always say much, but a few things were clear when the teams met this week. In his limited appearances, Jalen Hurts seems as though he has an impressive command of the Eagle’s offense. This is very good news for the Eagles.

Eagles’ first-round pick DeVona Smith was limited to individual drills during practice. It is clear that the Eagles want to take their time to make sure that he is healthy for the season. But he will see some time in the game tonight and the starters are expected to go “a few” series.

When two teams meet to practice for an extended period, it is normal for things to get a tad chippy.

The teams both had significant practice in the red zone. This allows both coaches to adjust in a condensed field and may play a role in the meeting on Thursday night.  Although I am sure that the coaches did not reveal entire game plans, the ability to score in the red zone may decline with this experience.

Eagles vs Patriots Preseason Picks

The Patriots are the best bet in this game. The Eagles will give Hurts some playing time, but right now the goal is for this team to stay healthy.

The Patriots have a full-blown QB controversy and Belichick has yet to name a starter for the regular season.  This will motivate both quarterbacks to be at their best although this is just a preseason game. This will force the Patriots to keep the best offensive line pieces in the game longer to protect both quarterbacks. The Pats are deeper and will have explosive talent like RB Rhamondre Stevenson in the game late.

Patriots -2

Preseason College Football Rankings 2021: Where the AP Top 25 Poll Is Wrong

The preseason college football rankings 2021 now have the associated press top 25 poll for college football fans to discuss. This poll is voted on by college football media members and it is often similar to the USA Today coaches poll. However, there are always a few teams that are ranked incorrectly and this year is no different.

2021 Preseason AP Top 25

  1. Alabama (47)
  2. Oklahoma (6)
  3. Clemson (6)
  4. Ohio State (1)
  5. Georgia (3)
  6. Texas A&M
  7. Iowa State
  8. Cincinnati
  9. Notre Dame
  10. North Carolina
  11. Oregon
  12. Wisconsin
  13. Florida
  14. Miami (FL)
  15. USC
  16. LSU
  17. Indiana
  18. Iowa
  19. Penn State
  20. Washington
  21. Texas
  22. Coastal Carolina
  23. Louisiana
  24. Utah
  25. Arizona State

Where the Poll is Right

The AP Top 25 poll did get a few things right. However, some of the rankings are hard to get wrong, especially at the top of the polls.

The Crimson Tide is the Team To Beat

Alabama is obviously the top choice and is rightfully ranked in the No. 1 spot. They are the clear-cut favorites to win the National Championship under the guidance of Nick Saban. It wasn’t even close as they toppled No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Clemson. The only other two teams getting first-place votes were No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Clemson.

Bearcats Will Be Tough To Beat

The Cincinnati Bearcats are in the top ten to start the season. The Bearcats sit at No. 8, and they may finish higher.  They have a veteran QB in Desmond Ridder who can manage the offense, but this team is all about defense. A year ago they were No. 1 in the conference and 13 in the nation and they will be better this year. They can run the schedule and are a team to watch.

Where the Poll is Wrong

Nobody’s perfect and that goes for the people who vote in this poll. It’s not always easy to avoid a bias or make a logical vote if you do not see every team on a regular basis. Here are a few teams that they got wrong.

Notre Dame is Not the Same

This team lost many starting pieces, yet they don’t reload like they used to. Because of their proud history, they are able to secure No. 9 in the rankings, but that is a mistake. The Irish lost four offensive linemen and they had nine players go to the National Football League. This will take some time for this team to gel and that will result in losses early. With tough games against Cincinnati, USC, Wisconsin, and Virginia Tech, to name a few, the Irish will finish out of the top 10.

Penn State is a Top Ten Team Tem

Penn State is slated at No. 19 to start the season, but that is too low. They ended the season on a four-game winning streak and they have senior leadership on the offensive end of the field. Coach James Franklin knows to recruit and if they can pull off the upset at Ohio State this team can make the playoffs. Even if they lose that game, at the end of the season Penn State will be a top ten team.

Thursday, August 19

New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles [FREE PICK HERE]

Betting Line: Patriots -2

[Bet the NFL. Win. Get Paid.]

Although the Thursday night NFL game is a Super Bowl rematch, the quarterbacks will take center stage. The Eagles are giving Jalen Hurts to run the offense and prove that he is ready for the job. In New England, veteran Cam Newton started the first game, but rookie Mac Jones followed Newton with an impressive debut.

Friday, August 20

Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football Team

Betting Line: Washington -4.5

[Bet now and get $2500 in betting  money]

Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals [FREE PICK HERE]

Betting Line: Chiefs -2.5

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

The Friday night spotlight game will be the Chiefs against the Cardinals. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals have the ability to be contenders, but the Chiefs are the favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs won their preseason opener, but Andy Reid is not always concerned with winning exhibition games. Reid is 39-45 in preseason games and has not had a winning record in four years.

Although the Chiefs will play starters for the first half, the point spread is still only (-2.5). This will not last, so if you like it bet it now.

Saturday, August 21

Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears

Betting Line: Bears -4.5

[Bet the NFL. Win. Get Paid.]

Buffalo will head to the Windy City to take on the Bears and Justin Fields. The Bears will see a lot of former QB Mitch Trubisky. Mitch only played 11 snaps in the opener but will get more in this game as the starter.

New York Jets at Green Bay Packers

Betting Line: Jets -1.5

[Bet now and get $2500 in betting  money]

Baltimore Ravens at Carolina Panthers

Betting Line: Ravens -3.5

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

The Ravens are automatic in the preseason. After beating the Saints in the first week, the Ravens are on the verge of making history. They have 18 straight victories and they need one more to tie the NFL’s all-time record for consecutive exhibition victories. Jim Harbaugh and the Ravens are deep and disciplined which explains the winning streak.

Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Betting Line: Buccaneers -2.5

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers

Betting Line: Steelers -6.5

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings

Betting Line: Vikings -2.5

[Bet now and get $2500 in betting  money]

Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins [Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

The Falcons are looking forward to getting back on the field after an awful performance in the opener. On offense, the Falcons were an embarrassment. The offensive line was pummeled, the quarterbacks were off-target all game and the rushing game was non-existent.

Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys

Betting Line: Cowboys -4.5

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams

Betting Line: Raiders -7

[Bet now and get $2500 in betting  money]

Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks

Betting Line: Broncos -6

[Claim your $25 Live Betting Free Play]

Sunday, August 22

New York Giants at Cleveland Browns

Betting Line: Browns -6.5

[Bet the NFL. Win. Get Paid.]

The Giant’s offense managed just 92 total yards through three quarters in the opener against the Jets. It won’t get much easier against a Browns defense that looks very impressive. The Browns did not play any significant starters in the first game, so it will be interesting to see who takes the field in game two.
Bet on MyBookie

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Chargers

Betting Line: 49ers -4.5

[Bet now and get $2500 in betting  money]

Jimmy Garoppolo plays a series in the opener, but all the discussion after the game was on rookie gunslinger Trey Lance. Lance was only 5 of 14 on the night, but his dazzling 80-yard touchdown has everyone excited about his potential.

Monday, August 23

Jacksonville Jaguars at New Orleans Saints

Betting Line: Saints -4

[Bet the NFL. Win. Get Paid.]

Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence will be on display in the Monday night game against the Saints. The future of the Jaguars looked good in his debut. However, the offensive line did not provide much protection and Lawrence will focus on getting rid of the ball sooner in this game.

NFL Preseason Week 1 2021 Picks Against the Spread For Every Game

NFL Preseason Week 1 2021 Picks Against the Spread For Every Game

The first full week of NFL preseason games is underway! The wait is over for football fans that like to watch and wager on football. The schedule is set, the odds are out and the only thing left to do is pick winners. We want everyone to start the year off with a winning week so we proudly present our NFL preseason week 1 2021 picks against the spread for every game.

NFL Preseason Week 1 2021 Picks Against the Spread

Many people will say that betting on the NFL preseason is a waste of time, but we disagree. The NFL teams and coaches basically give out their game plans before they take the field. This never happens in the regular season.

This is exactly what happened in the Hall of Fame game. This led us to an easy winner to start the NFL preseason.   Without any further discussion let’s get to all of the free picks against the spread for this week.

Thursday, August 12th

Washington Football Team vs New England [BET NOW AND CLAIM $2500 in BONUS MONEY]

This game is going to get a lot of attention. Bill Belichick is trying to get the Patriots back on the winning track and they have a QB controversy. WFT is now a contender in the eyes of many experts and this game is going to be fun. Because of this, we have a full-length preview of this game. Read it here.

Steelers vs Eagles

There are plenty of storylines to pay attention in this game. This includes Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense to Big Ben and the Steelers.

But don’t make things too difficult. The Steelers already have a game under their belt and this will give them an edge. They will be adjusted to the speed and will want to get an offense on the track that had issues scoring points in the opener.

Pick: Steelers PK

Friday, August 13th

Titans vs Falcons [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

The Atlanta Falcons will take the field without Julio Jones for the first time. Unfortunately, they will have to go up against the team they traded him to. However, since it is preseason don’t expect to see him on the field. This week in practice the Titans had a long list of players miss time.

Arthur Smith is a new HC in Atlanta and winning is important, even in the preseason for a new coach. The Titans already know what they have and will approach this game like it is a glorified scrimmage. All eyes will be on Kyle Pitts and he will steal the show with the Falcons victory.

Pick: Falcons -1

Bills vs Lions [BET NOW]

The Lions are getting a lot of hype this off-season due to the unorthodox approach of new head coach Dan Campbell. But here we go again, we have another new coach that is stressing that winning is important. The Bills have solid depth, but the Lions have players fighting for nearly every position. Josh Allen is already ruled out and the Lions have said that the starters will play a full quarter. That’s enough to make a move.

Pick: Lions -1.5

Cowboys vs Cardinals [BET NOW and ENTER THE HALF MILLION NFL MEGA CONTEST]

The Cowboys are the most popular NFL team on the planet, like it or not. And they are on hard knocks and that makes this the game of the night. A game of this magnitude will get some serious attention. The Cowboys looked flat in the opener, but they had no interest in winning that game. Although Dak will not play, the Cowboys are more prepared to win this game. The Cardinals will start off fast, but the Cowboys will win the game.

Pick: Cowboys +1.5

Saturday, August 14th

Saturday is the busiest day of the week with plenty of games to choose from. This does not mean that you have to bet every game. Choose wisely.

Dolphins vs Bears [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

Let me guess, everyone is watching the quarterback play in this game? Miami needs a good season out of Tua and the Bears fan base is begging for Justin Field to be QB 1. The game gets more interesting when you find out, like many teams; they have had joint practices leading up to the game.

The public believes since Justin Fields is coming in later the Bears will win this game. That explains the spread movement and why the Bears are -3.5 point favorites. But I believe in Tua and his connection with Jaylen Waddle. Fins HC Brian Flores is 3-1 in the preseason and if you are wondering Bears HC Matt Nagy is 3-6 straight up in the last two preseasons.

Pick: Dolphins +3.5

Broncos vs Vikings [BET NOW AND CLAIM $2500 in BONUS MONEY]

The Broncos have a full-blown QB battle and Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater are vying for the job in Denver. Lock will get the start, but he is a dead man walking. Many people believe that Deshaun Watson will be the QB at some point during the season, but that is a story for another day. Vikings’ HC Mike Zimmer cares about the preseason and he is 6-2 in the last eight games. When a coach emphasizes the game is important, the players react. Don’t overvalue a QB battle, take the Vikings.

Pick: Vikings +2.5

Saints vs Ravens [BET NOW AND CLAIM $2500 in BONUS MONEY]

The Saints are a nightmare. The players are not happy, the team has a QB battle and the superstars are not happy. Ravens HC Jim Harbaugh is 17-0 in the last 17 games in the preseason. Do not make this hard. Bet on Baltimore.

Pick Ravens -2

Browns vs Jaguars [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

This is a very interesting game because the Browns are making it clear that this game is not very important.

Meanwhile, Urban Meyer will want to have some sort of positive outcome from his first game as the head man of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Garner Minshew still wants to prove he can be a starter in the league. The point-spread is moving, so get it now.

Pick: Jacksonville -2.5

Jets vs Giants [BET NOW AND CLAIM $2500 in BONUS MONEY]

The Jets have a bright future and if Zach Wilson can perform it may start early. But it won’t start this week. It might look enticing since Daniel Jones will not play and the Jets will play starters for the first quarter.

However, the Jets have to work on more areas and they will use the preseason to fine-tune and not win. Joe Judge is a disciplinarian and he will not accept losing in any game. Bet Big Blue.

Pick Giants +2.5

Bengals vs Buccaneers [BET NOW and ENTER THE HALF MILLION NFL MEGA CONTEST]

Wait, the Buccaneers are six-point favorites? I know they won the Super Bowl, but six-point favorites in the preseason? The point-spreads are low in the preseason for a reason. This is most likely because Bruce Arians announced that everyone will play in the first preseason game to include Tom Brady. Take a breath, don’t buy into the hype, and take the points.

Pick: Bengals +6

Texans vs Packers [BET NOW and ENTER THE HALF MILLION NFL MEGA CONTEST]

Don’t let the regular season clog your mind on the preseason. It is clear that the Packers will be a better team this year. But, Aaron Rodgers will not play and this is a true dress rehearsal for the Packers. The Texans, on the other hand, have every position up for grabs. This means that the Texans will be playing hard for a full four quarters in the preseason, which is too good to pass up.

Pick: Texans +3

Chiefs vs 49ers [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

This is a very interesting game when it comes to betting. The Chiefs have revealed the plan for this weekend and it will allow people who bet on football to cash in.

The smart way to bet on this game is to bet on the Chiefs in the first quarter or the first half and then bet on the 49ers to win the game. This is why you can make money in the preseason.

Pick 49ers -2.5

Seahawks vs Raiders [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

Let’s make this a coaching call. Both coaches love to win the preseason. Raiders HC Jon Gruden is 36-18 and Seahawks HC Pete Carroll is 25016 in the preseason. But this is a bigger game for the Raiders who are trying to set a culture that has been absent from the silver and black for decades. Gruden is 6-2 in the last 8 preseason games and for a fanatic Raiders fan base winning in the preseason matters.

Pick: Raiders -2.5

Chargers vs Rams

[BET NOW and ENTER THE HALF MILLION NFL MEGA CONTEST]

Brandon Staley may be a new head coach but he is clearly playing it safe. He has announced that superstar QB Justin Herbert will not only miss the opener, but he will not play in ANY preseason games. Chase Daniels will get the start and he is a very capable journeyman slinger.

This sends a clear message to the Chargers that this game is not important. History shows us that the Rams and Sean McVay (6-6 in the preseason) does not focus on the preseason, but the Rams will get the win and the cover in the opener.

Pick Rams +3.5

Panthers vs Colts [BET NOW and get a FREE $10 CASINO CHIP]

The last game of the week features the Carolina Panthers up against the injury-riddled Indianapolis Colts. The Colts will be without the injured Carson Wentz at QB, but the two young back-ups will battle in the opener to prove their worth.

The betting public is always focused on the latest news and they will fade the Colts with all of the injuries that they have endured up to this point.

Matt Rhule will coach his first preseason coach as the head of the Panthers. His job is more than safe and that makes this an “observation” game. The Panthers want to keep the team healthy after losing CMAC and they will be more than happy to get this game over with.

Pick Colts -1

Washington Football Team vs Patriots Predictions

Washington Football Team vs Patriots Predictions and Pick Against the Spread

The first official full week of the NFL preseason is here. The schedule is jam-packed with games all weekend long. It all starts on Thursday night when the Washington Football team will play the New England Patriots. It may be a preseason game, but there are several reasons to watch and wager on the first game of the week.

Betting on NFL Preseason

There are many people who will say betting on the NFL preseason is a waste of time. The argument is that it may be easier than betting on the regular season. If you are going to make Washington Football Team vs Patriots predictions the information is out there and it’s not hard to find.

Washington Football Team

WFT HC Ron Rivera is not playing around. The fiery coach made it very clear that his players will take the field on Thursday night and he expects QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to take control of the offense. Rivera likes to win in the preseason and has a win-loss record of 20-16, and that includes a 2-2 record in 2019. Washington does have depth at QB with Taylor Heinicke and he will be fighting for this starting job. If you are going to bet on the preseason, depth charts and QB rotations are some of the most important things to look at. Washington is getting love from anyone who bets on the preseason, which explains the odds on this game.

Washington Football Team vs Patriots Odds

It’s the preseason so there is no reason to get wrapped up in home-field advantage, but many may be surprised to see that MyBookie has the Patriots as a +2 point underdog in the first preseason game of the season.

New England Patriots

All eyes will be on the QB battle in New England between Cam Newton and Mac Jones. The Patriots fan base is excited about Mac Jones, but Newton is taking the reps with the first team. The Patriots will be missing tight-end Hunter Henry who will miss the game with a shoulder injury.

Bill Belichick is not as revealing with his game plan, but he does want to win in the preseason. In the last three years, he is 10-6 in the exhibition season. However, this year is different and it will be obvious when these teams take the field on Thursday.

Washington Football Team vs Patriots Predictions

Every game is different. When we picked a winner with the Steelers in the Hall of Fame game, we knew the Cowboys were not there to win. In this game, it is clear that the Patriots are here to win. The NFL preseason is shortened this year which means that Belichick and the Patriots need results right away.

Washington made headlines when Rivera said his team was going to play and the public went crazy betting on Washington, boy are they in for a shock. Belichick is on a mission to get his team ready. With all of the new additions, especially on defense, the Patriots will let players get involved in situations and play later in the game. It may be preseason, but fans will be there and the Pats are 9-2 against the spread as home underdogs.

The debut of new players, the return of players that took the year off and a determined attitude makes the Patriots the bet to make in this game.

Now that you have the latest odds, which team will you bet on to win the National Championship? Here are a few to consider according to our experts.

Alabama Crimson Tide +225

It seems obvious and maybe it is, but Nick Saban and Alabama reload every year. Bryce Young enters as the new quarterback in an offense that is now led by former Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien. Young has talent all around him, especially on a huge offensive line that will give him time to throw to super standouts like John Metchie. The defense will be even better than last year. It may be the popular pick, but you cannot go wrong betting on Alabama to win another National Championship.

Georgia Bulldogs +500

Finally, it looks like the Georgia Bulldogs have the pieces to go toe-to-toe with Alabama. A healthy QB JT Daniels can put up some serious points in this offense which will now be able to keep pace with Alabama and Florida. Daniels will have time to throw behind perhaps one of the best offensive lines in the country. The front three can stop the run on defense and they know how to pressure the opposing passer. Georgia is not afraid of Alabama and they are a solid bet to win it all.

Oklahoma Sooners +600

With all due respect to the Ohio State Buckeyes (+600), if you want to bet on a team to win the championship with great odds it’s the Sooners. This is an offense that averaged 500 yards a game last year and they are led by Heisman frontrunner Spencer Rattler. The revamped secondary will be even better than a year ago ad will complement the front of the defense. The Sooners will leave the Big 12 in shambles and send a clear message to the SEC on their way to a championship season.
